Guitar Success at Edinburgh Competition Festival
A huge congratulations goes out to one of our talented S6 pupils, Lena Galant, who along with Lucy Thomas, of Portobello High School, won 1st Place at the Edinburgh Competition Festival on Saturday 4th March. The duo were competing in the Guitar Ensembles Open Category where they took the top prize, winning the Rita Quinney Medal.
The girls first met and started their duo at the Junior Conservatoire in Glasgow, which they both attend every Saturday. They only started playing together four months ago and this was their first ever public performance together!!
If you wish to hear Lena's playing, come along to our annual Spring Fling concert on Wednesday 22nd March (7pm - 9pm) where she will be playing a Guitar solo.
