JGHS Pipe Band play at the European Secondary Heads association Gala Dinner
Every Tuesday afternoon after school the JGHS Pipe Band rehearse in the music department and are joined by enthusiastic pupils from Boroughmuir High School. The Pipe Band now have a good core group of pipers and some budding snare drummers. They are rehearsing for many society events and the annual Christmas Concert in the Usher Hall on the 18th December.
Tonight the Pipe Band were invited to play for the European Secondary Heads association Gala Dinner at the National Museum of Scotland. The band rehearsed in school diligently and then were transported to the Museum were they received a great reception by all those attending the Gala. Many tourists and on-lookers gathered around the Pipers playing outside the entrance of the National Museum and were very impressed by our young musicians.
