Rock the House Competition for singers and bands








To all potential under 19 Rock The House partners/participants

 ‘Rock The House’ is a competition which is now in its third year and was founded by Mike Weatherley MP to raise awareness of intellectual property rights and live music issues amongst Parliamentarians of every political persuasion

The competition caters for 2 separate age groups –
·       Musicians over the age of 19
·       Musicians under 19 years of age. Yamaha Music Europe (UK) organise the under 19 part of the event which includes a live final conducted in front of a top music industry judging panel.

Under 19 Musicians
Open to any students who can perform as solo artists (vocalists, singer songwriters) as well as bands who are able to perform live and produce their own material.

The prize fund includes equipment, masterclasses and experience seminars from industry specialists which money just could not buy.

Last year’s under 19 winners also performed at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and The Cavern Club in Liverpool as well as being presented on the Terrace of the House of Commons and performing at the Speaker’s State Rooms as part of the launch of the 2013 competition.
