URGENT: Scots Fiddle Festival: Opportunity for 12-18 year old Fiddlers
The Scots Fiddle Festival is looking for talented young fiddlers aged 12-18
years old to be part of an exciting project working with professional musicians
leading towards a performance at the Scots Fiddle Festival’s Saturday night
concert at The Queen’s Hall!
Participants will build repertoire, meet other young musicians, develop skills and gain confidence in arranging, learning by ear, working as a group, talking to audiences, learning to use microphones, as well as the experience of recording at a top Edinburgh recording studio and performing at one of Scotland’s biggest traditional music festivals.
All workshops and performances will take place in Edinburgh - participants may come from other parts of Scotland as long as they can make these. There is no cost for participants to be involved in this project.
