Welcome back!

I hope you have had a great summer holiday and have enjoyed the unusually warm Scottish weather.  

School is now back in session and so are the Instrumental lessons.

If you have received instrumental lessons at JGHS last year, or at primary school please contact your instrumental teacher or a member of music staff ASAP.  Timetabling is more complicated this year with the split site campus so it is critical that you make contact with your teacher so the instrumental timetables can be issued for the term.

S1 Pupils

The music teachers will be issuing a letter this week during music class about instrumental lessons.  There are opportunities for beginners in Guitar, Drum-kit, Piano, Cello, Woodwind and Brass.  The letter has a return slip to give back to your music teacher if you want to take up the opportunity of learning an instrument in school.

This year's rehearsals for the Usher Hall Christmas Concert will commence on the week beginning 26th August.  The first full day rehearsal will be on Wednesday 28th August in the Darroch campus for Senior pupils and any others who are performing with the Senior ensembles.
