Acadmey of Music and Sound - Last Minute places still available on NC in Creative Industries and HNC in Music



It’s still not too late to apply for the Academy of Music and Sound's NC Creative Industries and HNC courses in Music.

To gain entry on to the courses, all you have to do is go through an audition process where they will assess your practical ability.

The NC Creative Industries, a SCQF Level 6 course, offers a broad introduction to life in the Creative and Music Industries. Through a mixture of classroom learning, project working and real world experience, students will develop essential skills and knowledge in the areas of music performance, music business and music technology. Throughout the program, priority will be given to the development of skills that are transferable to a number of creative professions, such as project management, freelancing, planning a creative project and collaborating in teams to produce creative works..

HNC/HND in Music is a 1 or 2-year course which allows you to grow as a musician whilst developing your network of contacts and industry links. This course features regular instrument specific lessons, weekly live performances and regular performances at venues across Edinburgh. In addition to this, the varied course introduces you to all aspects of the music industry, including teaching, entrepreneurship, song writing, composition, composing for visuals, sound production, and music business. This variety allows you to decide which area of the music industry you would most like to work in.
